Type School

Days Left : 176

Today I begin my journey searching for grad schools again. All of a sudden my stress levels elevated it self from 0 to 7 on the scale of 0 to 10.Technically I was suppose to graduate in 2011. Guess what, I changed my mind. Don't get me wrong I love advertising and it's power to manipulate society but I wasn't about to spend another year to write a 35 page thesis paper about it. In exchange, I'd rather do another MA in a different field. One that I have always been fascinated with but never really got a chance to have an in-depth exploration on it.

Typography.

Yes, I would like to be a typographer.

For those who are wondering, apekah binatang typography ni?

In short, it's idealized writing.
In a well-made book where a typographer has done his/her job well,no matter how many thousands of lines and pages they must occupy, the letters are alive. They dance in their seats and sometimes they rise and dance in the margins and aisles. Hahaha, i just cracked myself up. (Nope, I'm not on crack, I finished my stash last Friday and still waiting for my new stock.) If you want a more detailed description, click here.

Here's a sneak peak of my type design skills. A logo and a collateral for a shop called Beautiful Play. (It's been badly man handled by men)
